Why is having a Kuari Pass trek map important during trekking?
Kuari pass trek scratches over 33+ kilometers through dense oak and rhododendron forests, steep ascents, open meadows and through Nanda Devi Biosphere Reserve. Having a map during the trek helps you in numerous ways to be safe and gives extra clarity and confidence.
Understanding route: The Kuari Pass trek map shows the entire journey from day 1 to the last Day of the trek and provides a clear understanding of the route and how each day would be and how long we have to trek before reaching the campsite.
Tracking altitude gain: One of the most challenging points of Himalayan treks is their altitude. Kuari Pass trek altitude takes you from 6,000ft to 12,516ft. With a map you can track yourself where you are at what altitude you are at and that will help you to acclimatize properly and will help you to take precautions for AMS.
In case you lost: In heavy winter due to fog it reduces visibility on the trails and in between this by any chance if you get apart from your trekking team at mountains without even a network how would you connect with your teammates. By having a map you can reach to the nearest or to the campsite you were heading towards.
Better preparation: Studying the trek map before will give you a reality check of how many kilometers each day we have to trek. Which sections are steep or difficult? By knowing all these factors it will help you to train your body physically according to that and also start preparing mentally.
Better packaging: Map tells us about the trails and the routes by which we have a pre guidance of trails and weather and can pack according to that and can also pack proper gears according to trails.
