How to Reach Meghalaya
By Air:
Shillong Airport in Umroi is the nearest airport, about 30 km from Shillong. But it has limited flights. Alternatively, Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport in Guwahati, Assam is about 100 km away and well connected to all major cities in India.
By Train:
Meghalaya doesn’t have a railway station. The nearest station is Guwahati, which is well connected to all major cities. From Guwahati you can hire a cab or take a bus to Meghalaya.
By Road:
Meghalaya has good road connectivity. National Highway 6 connects Shillong to other northeastern states. Regular buses and private taxis operate from Guwahati to Shillong and other parts of Meghalaya.
